Richard and Judy were a complete pleasure to get to know. The facilities they have are also great. We stayed in Grandma's Cabin and had a fantastic night. While it's 30+ miles from Richardson Hwy, I highly recommend staying with them. Thank you for the hospitality! Excellent stop over for the night. Owners were very friendly and their washrooms were amazing. Nice lodge in Chistochina. Very fine host and hostess. We loved it!! Richard and and his wife sure know how to run a solid campground. The bathrooms were immaculate, and they offer plenty of options when it comes to cabins. Beware of the mosquitos though, if you're tent camping. Alaska is notorious for mosquitos in the summer, so expect swarms, and be cautious not to leave your tent open. Spent a few nights staying at this delightful bed and breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bath house felt rustic but clean and I had several long hot showers to soak my travel weary bones. Breakfasts were delicious and provided energy for many adventures in the area. The proprietors were friendly and offered several good tips on where to go while I stayed with them and beyond. There is a coin op laundry available at the bath house for your convenience as well. If you happen to be anywhere near this little gem in your travels in Alaska I highly recommend stopping in for a day or two, you'll be glad you did!
